2017 High School Recap
This month marks the end of our High School Season! It's been a long season and we are so proud of all of our athletes who competed this year. We’ve had an amazing High School
season this year! Congratulations to all the divers who competed in the dual and championship meets and a big congratulations to Nathan Howze from Bartram Trail who brought home the Gold in the Men’s
Class 3A State Championships! It came down to the last dive in a very tight race for 1st but Nathan dug deep and pulled out an awesome 5333D (Reverse 1 ½ with 1 ½ twists) to edge out his
opponent.
We are very proud of our outstanding State Qualifiers: Savannah Brown, Isabella DiStefano, Christian Banker, Kate Zehil, and Parker Hampton. We would also like to send a shout out to our divers who qualified for the Regional Championships and barely missed out on their shot at qualifying for the State Meet – Brock Howze from Bartram Trail, Leonna Pollicino from Creekside, & Corinne Hentschel from Atlantic Coast HS. Awesome job this year divers and we look forward to another strong season next year!

We are so excited to announce that we have added a new coach to our staff! We would like to welcome Nathan Schreiber to the ACD Jax Family. Nathan was a Student-Athlete on the Men's Varsity Diving Team at Louisiana State University - GEAUX TIGERS! He has many years of coaching and mentoring young divers as well as diving professionally in Sea World shows in San Antonio, Tx. and Orlando, Fl.
Congratulations to Nathan Howze on Qualifying for the AT&T USA Diving National Championships! Nathan is the first ever National Qualifier from our team! He had an outstanding performance, competing some of his newer, more difficult dives very well. Nathan placed 33rd in the Boys 14-15 JO 1 Meter Preliminary competition with a score of 257.70.
Congratulations to our 2015 Senior NCAA Scholarship Signee Miranda Goss!
Miranda will be joining her brother Dalton Goss as a member of the University of Florida Varsity Diving Team in the Fall of 2015. She has been diving for Atlantic Coast Diving since April of 2013 after a long gymnastics career and was a member of the Mandarin High School Varsity Diving Team in 2013 & 2014. On Saturday, September 20th our divers participated in a Hand Spotting Clinic hosted by USA Diving for the coaches in town for the USAS Convention at the Hyatt Downtown. Our divers Isabella, Mary Grace, Milla, Anneliese, Kate, and Amy from W. Fl. Lightning in Tampa helped coaches learn the proper techniques for hand spotting in a dryland setting. This training was extremely helpful for not only the coaches but also our divers. We look forward to implementing all of the new techniques when we open our dry gym very soon!
Thank you to our Diver's for volunteering!
Thank you to everyone who came out to Bolles for the team meeting. We went over some important information for the upcoming season, filled out new registration forms, and much more. Please check out the Meeting Minutes below to see what we discussed. For those of you who were unable to meet with the team, Coach Courtney has your Diver Folder so make sure to pick it up from her at your next workout. If you have any questions or comments, please email Coach Courtney!
The Moss Farms Diving Camp was a huge success! There were over 100 dives learned in the 4 ½ day camp by 23 divers, including Isabella, Hallie, Nathan, Tai-Tai, Zoe, Shayna, and Deana; who was also chosen unanimously amongst the coaches as the “Camper of the Week”. Pictures of the pool, camp grounds, and divers will be posted to the website as well as our Facebook page along with videos of our divers learning their new dives! Take a few minutes to check them out! Pictures and videos can also be found on the Moss Farms Diving Facebook page.
With the team growing by leaps and bounds over the last year many of our practices have become overwhelmingly full. In order to accomodate every diver,
at every skill level, we have updated our team organization and practice schedule.
During the month of January, Coach Courtney will be assessing each divers skill level with our new and improved skill sheets. Skill sheets will be kept for all divers to track
their progress as well as indicate when a diver has successfully progressed to the next competitive level.
Below you will find our new team format with a brief description of each level, skill level or age group requirements, practice requirements, and eligible meets.
