Training Trip Facilities

Gainesville: O'Connell Center

The O'Connell Center is the main athletic center for the University of Florida. The pool is located on the lower level between Gates 2 and 3.The pool is indoor and has two 1 meters, two 3 meters, and 5 & 10 Meter. As of now, we can practice in Gainesville on Sunday's from 11-2 (10:30 warm up time, 11:00am in the water). Gainesville is a much closer option for the team so we will be visiting this site more than any of the other. The cost for this location per diver is $50.

Moultrie: US Diving Regional Training Center - Moss Farms Diving

The Moss Farms is a Regional Training Center for USA Diving which means it offers everything available! The Moss Farms pool is outdoor but has heated water and a brand NEW hot tub. It has four 1 meters, four 3 meters, a full tower stack, spotting rig over 1 meter water, and the sparger system for bubbles as well as a full dryland facility. The Moss Farms pool will also be the site for the Zone Championships this Summer so any workouts we attend here will also help our divers who are preparing to qualify for Zones and Nationals! Cost per diver is $65.

Orlando: I-Drive YMCA

Most of you have visited the I Drive YMCA in Orlando for previous meets, etc. The Orlando pool is available during the weekdays (perhaps days where there is no school) and Saturday's. The pool is indoor with hot showers, has four 1 meter boards, four 3 meter boards, and a full tower stack (1, 3, 5, 7.5, and 10 Meter), and over head spotting rig on 1 meter as well as a full dryland facility. Orlando is a little further away but is an easy trip. This will be the site for the US Diving Nationals this summer so any extra workouts we can do at this facility will only help our divers looking to qualify for Nationals. The cost for this location per diver is $65. Practice times will be determined soon.

Tallahassee: Morcom Center

The Morcom Center is available during the weekdays (perhaps days where there is no school) and Saturday's. The pool is outdoor with heat water and a hot tub. It has two 1 meters, two 3 meters, a full tower stack, and the sparger system for bubbles as well as a full dryland facility. We will probably only hold workouts here  if/when we have a group that needs to learn new dives using the bubbles. The cost per diver for this facility has gone up from $45 to $65 due to change in pool fees. Practice times will be determined soon.
